Thanks to all the Swifts Creek, Cassilis & Ensay artists and (f)routists who made this tour such a gobsmackingly great success. We had fab guests staying in beautiful accommodation, visiting the handmade homes and studios of local artists, devouring fabulous meals at the Albion Hotel, artist-made dinner at the Ensay Winery, raging creeks, slurping sloppy driveways, evocative mists and crackingly good open fires, and of course – the utlimate (f)route breakfast at the Cassilis Cemetery, surrounded by those spectacular rolling hills and picnic tables full of local’s favourite fruits. I think we wowed our guests. Lots of art shared and made, bought and sold. Future commissions planned, new members for the The Great Alpine Gallery signed up, winter workshops joined – and a (f)routey article being written as we speak.
